Philippians 2: 1-5
These verses are the epitome of a family. The way a family should act and deal with one another. There shouldn't be a special occasion in which we act as a family, or be in a specific place for us to act as family, but having the same attitude of Christ we must love each other every day. If his love was absent from us for just one day...we'd all be dead.
The Prophet had mentioned loneliness as part of the reason we were created. God said "let us make man in our image" there was more than one, but I have the feeling that they wanted a family. Which is why us as humans flock to one another...we seek community amongst each other. We can't deny that there is emptiness and loneliness in not having another one to share our life with...that's a characteristic of God. God seen that characteristic in Adam, which is why he created Eve. Makes sense doesn't it. God wants a family, I don't know how long they've been together before our creation, but they wanted something different...something interesting with its own mind. It's like the Sims, but without controlling them...let's see what they do. I may be incorrect...but i thank God for my unique mind, nonetheless I will honor him still in all my ways and reject my philosophy for His ways. I will drop everything I know in order to please him.
I thought of this rapture thing as Christ coming back to get the family! I understand the love for Christian family. I may see someone stating online that they are a Christian, and automatically I have this excitement and love for them. I'm happy to have known of their existence and the love is automatic... even when i've never seen their face or heard their voice. It's the fact that I have found out that I have another family member, the more the merrier... and with Christ, there's one more person that has been saved! The kingdom of Heaven is a place for the family of God. And it's not complete unless the family is there...thus the rapture and the saving of souls during the Great Tribulation. God had a family, Adam and Eve...until they betrayed Him...that;s how I see it. And they did exactly what He told them not to do. Satan saw an opportunity to taint and make wicked what God loved...so that he'd hate it. How terrible a thing it is to have to hate what you loved. It's the sin He hates not us...because God loved the world so He sent His Son to save those in the world that had been trapped in the curse of sin. It's like a mother seeing her beloved children drenched in black slimy stomach-turning filth. And the only solution for redeeming us was Christ.
I thank God for His love, understanding and peace. There's complete peace being in God...there's nothing better. And there is complete love, peace and understanding in the family of God... and that's how it should always be.
